“I’ll Write a Song About That”

It is the beginning of First Grade and there is so much to learn!  Budding musician, Maggie Jane, uses music and art to help her navigate the fun and the challenges of first grade.  Along the way, she writes songs about her adventures with classmates like James, who doesn't mind a bit of a mess, Rosie and Lucy who are always by her side, and even Jillian and Lily, who aren't always very nice.  She can't wait to send her lyrics to her long-distance bandmate and buddy, Penny.  This school year is sure to be the inspiration for their future album.

This story is written by real life First Grade Teacher, Emily Rogan.  She is also a mother of three children including one Miss Maggie Jane.
